Mr. Sathis Nawarathne, the Founder of Sadaharitha Group of Companies, is an ambitious planter by profession. His vision, along with his 30 years of unparalleled expertise in the plantation industry, was instrumental in the rapid growth and vast expansion of Sadaharitha in the commercial forestry industry. His methodologies, which were initially implemented in Sri Lanka, spread fast and far beyond the borders of the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. With a futuristic plan, he paved and developed a Sri Lankan export brand. His optimistic passion, incorporated with technological advancement, led towards the largest plant nursery in South Asia and a state-of-the-art laboratory instigating an exceptional Research & Development (R&D) unit.

Mr. Nawarathne marked vital years of experience as a Director in the ‘State Plantations Corporation’ , ‘Coconut Development Authority’ and ‘Coconut Cultivation Board’. 

Mr. Harsha Abeywickrema

Chief Executive Officer/ Director [LUTC-F, MBA (RUSL), CIAM, DIP-MKT( NUS),  CMFA (USA)]

Mr. Abeywickrema has worked more than 34 years of which 30 years counts in Insurance industry at different managerial positions. As a DGM at Ceylinco Life insurance; he was an active member of the Strategic Management Team with an involvement of strategic initiatives, performance management and development of the Sales Distribution. Further, he was attached to AIA Insurance as DGM – Head of Sales and as the National Head of Recruitment in AIA, Sri Lanka. During his journey in the field of Insurance, he was able to get more exposure in best practices in Insurance Marketing and Management with overseas companies as well. In addition to that, he served as a Trainer to many Private and Government Organizations such as Seylan Bank, Ceylinco Savings Bank, University of Wayamba, and Ceylinco Stela Insurance. He was serving in the capacity of General Manager – Sales at Janashakthi Life, before joining with us.

Mrs. Sakunthala Nawarathne

Director – Peoples’ Development and Operations [Dip in Education]

Mrs. Sakunthala Nawarathne is one of the founder Directors of Sadaharitha Plantations Limited and the Managing Director of Sadharitha Agri Farms and Exporters. She is also a fluent Japanese linguist who holds several years of experience in international trade relations. Mrs. Nawarathne is an expert in Human Resources Management, Training and Development. This enables the group to sustain loyal and dynamic staff subsequently guaranteeing an excellent and healthy work culture at Sadaharitha. Furthermore, Mrs. Nawarathne has paved the way towards company CSR projects exhibiting consistent leadership to outreach programs which plays a pivotal role in ensuring the sustainable growth of the organization.

Mr. Jayampathy Mirando​

Director - International Sales & Marketing [Dip.M (UK), MCIM (UK)]

Mr. Jayampathy Mirando is a veteran with over 39 years of experience in the field of Sales & Marketing. He counts over 26 years of experience in his career in senior management positions at FMCG, Real Estates, Insurance & Commercial Forestry. Additionally, Mr. Mirando is a professional marketer who holds an Associate Membership from CIM – UK. He currently heads the international sales and Marketing team.

Mr.R.A.Saman

Director - Finance & Planning [ACA, BSc. (Fin.Mgt)]

Mr. R. A. Saman has been working together with the Sadaharitha Family since 2007 to date and has held a plethora of job roles starting from the position of an Accountant. In the past, Mr. Saman has accomplished great things in the Finance Department and has acted as a General Manager as well. Mr. Saman is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and holds B.Sc. Business Studies (Special Degree) in Financial Management – Sabaragamuwa University. Moreover, he has gained experience from Ernest & Young (Chartered Accountants) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (Charted Accountants) prior to joining Sadaharitha Group of Companies.
